Communication …we do that day in and day out …what does make an effective communicator?
Has there been a time where you sat and had a discussion and realised that your message was not getting across? That message was lost in translation?
Not all situations are the same, you need to mould to the audience at hand. What kind of speed are you talking?
I can say I am guilty of sometimes talking too fast and my message is lost and there is not wonder frustration may build. Make sure that you are present when you are presenting, sometimes the robot takes over and you are just ” going through the motions”.
Well …I can safely say that when this does happen you will have lost your audience. I have been guilty of checking my phone with a speaker that lost me with a monotone voice …you actively listen engage and take pauses when you are presenting. Oh and yes you can smile it shows that you are real ….to effectively communicate your message.
Effective communication will explode your business whatever the business you are in as others will take action. You have a responsibility when you are presenting to make sure that message is getting across if you really believe in it. When you have triggered something in a person and have moved them, that person will take action and golly it’s fantastic!!
How happy do you feel when action has been taken and you have helped another person grow.
