How do you talk to a prospective client on the phone
With today’s fast technology, and everyone is automatically in swipe mode I think we have forgotten
how to talk on the phone …
Below I share my story
I received a call yesterday from a telemarketer with a local number (close to my home )
( I generally do not pick up calls that I do not know but I figured the number is similar to my son’s school..)
Anyway..
Her voice was calm and polite so I figured I will listen to her…
But she did NOT let me get a word in
I could NOT say YES or NO…or even ask a Question …which I wanted to
I then thanked her for her time and guess what ?
Before I finished she HUNG UP!!
HOW RUDE!!!
This is what NOT to do to attract a customer …
We need to listen, allow the other person to ask questions, and even if they say NOPE…
You have to be ok with that
WHY?
Because one day they may become a customer..(well not me for this company !!)
