Giving a Discount without really thinking about it? Is this you ?
There is a certain time and place for a discount ..as I explain below….
Why you should not give a discount
1.If you are presenting your product/opportunity and your customer says “No” then you chase them out the door and offer a discount…well guess who looks like that desperate cheesy sales person? You do! Now that person will be thinking, if they want to work with someone that does that, and will they have to act this way to make a
2. There is a time and a place for a discount that is during a promotion, or a sale period. You do not walk into any store and ask for a discount do you? No you probably do not, that discredits their brand.
3. You do not want your brand to that “discounter” people love to buy a bargain but they also want a reputable brand. It’s all in the delivery.
4. Your customer may also think that if they need to chase a sale that way, is the company reputable? They will also think that it is “too hard”
5. When you do get a “No ” have posture and be Ok with it. Ask yourself “did I actually satisfy the needs of the customer or was I just thinking dollar signs”, in the moment that is so easy to.
